Walking Napeague

Please join ONE LANDSCAPE for an experiential walk through the iconic, fragile ecosystems that lie in the rough coastal wash east of Amagansett. Participants will walk at a slow pace through landscapes of pond, forest, heath, dune, and wetland, encountering diverse habitats, geology, and human history. Portions of the walk will be conducted in silence; at other times, we will engage in creative reflection through readings, writing, and drawing. The walk will be led by Ann de Forest and Margie Ruddick. Walkers may join us for the entire walk or for portions of it; locations and times are provided on the map.

We suggest bringing the following items on the walk: water bottles, bug spray, sunscreen, and snacks & recommend wearing: sturdy walking shoes, long pants, long sleeves, and hats. Water shoes optional for short portions.
